Install and activate

The public installer is being prepared. Start these steps only after the Nabik team confirms that your release is available and gives you an activation token.

  1. Install fresh Debian 12 or 13 and connect the device to your local network.

  2. Sign in to Debian locally or over SSH. Install the tools used to download the installer:

    sudo apt-get update
    sudo apt-get install -y ca-certificates curl
  3. Once your release is available, download and review the installer:

    curl --fail --show-error --proto '=https' https://nabik.live/downloads/install.sh -o install.sh
    less install.sh
    sudo bash install.sh
  4. Enter your single-use token when prompted. Do not put it in the command line or share it in a screenshot.

  5. From another device on the same network, open https://DEVICE_IP:8971. The device uses a local certificate, so your browser may show a certificate warning until you configure a trusted one. Complete the administrator setup shown by Nabik.

  6. Continue with adding cameras.

If the download returns 404, the release has not been published yet. Contact the Nabik team; do not use an installer from a third-party site.
