Add cameras

Sign in to the Nabik web interface at https://DEVICE_IP:8971, then use Add Camera or the camera setup wizard in Settings.

  1. Give the camera a clear name and choose its brand or the manual option.
  2. Enter the camera address and credentials. If your camera supports ONVIF, use discovery to find its streams; otherwise enter its RTSP stream URL.
  3. Test the stream in the wizard before saving. Use the camera's high-quality main stream for recording and a lower-resolution stream for detection when both are available.
  4. Start with H.264 video and the default detection rate of 5 frames per second. Increase it only if testing shows a need.
  5. Save the camera, then confirm it appears in Live and that new recordings appear in History.

Keep your camera passwords private. If the stream fails, check that the device can reach the camera on the local network, the camera account has stream access, and the stream URL works in the camera's own settings. See Help for the next checks.
